What is an NCC in Côte d’Ivoire?
The NCC (numéro de compte contribuable) is the taxpayer account number the Direction Générale des Impôts gives each taxpayer in Côte d’Ivoire, individuals and companies alike, used in all their dealings with the tax administration. It has 8 characters — 7 digits and a capital key letter, such as 9502363N — and business customers’ NCCs must appear on invoices.
Ivorian NCC format
Seven digits and a key letter, written without a space.
(lettre clé)
Example: 9502363N (KPMG Côte d’Ivoire), the customer NCC in the DGI’s own FNE API documentation.
- Input: With or without a space before the letter. The NCC has no CI prefix.
- On invoices: Every FNE sales invoice number begins with the issuer’s NCC (e.g. 9500015F25000000071); credit notes add an A in front.
- Not an NCC: The 14-character IDU, the RCCM number and the private e-filing number (NTD) are different numbers.
- Privacy: Individuals have NCCs too. Never enter another person’s NCC.
How to check an Ivorian NCC
- 1 Find the NCC on the supplier’s invoice — an FNE sales invoice number also begins with it.
- 2 Enter the 7 digits and letter above. The checker looks the number up in the official register.
- 3 Compare the returned name and status with the supplier.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the format of an NCC? (Format du numéro de compte contribuable)
Eight characters written without a space: 7 digits followed by a capital key letter, for example 9502363N. The Direction Générale des Impôts (DGI) set this out in its communiqué of 14 September 2026 on e-invoicing integrations.
How can I check an NCC? (Comment vérifier un NCC ?)
Enter it in the checker on this page: it looks the number up in the official register and returns the registered name and status. If the result says the registry was temporarily unavailable, try again later — it does not mean the NCC is invalid.
Is the NCC the same as the IDU?
No. The Identifiant Unique (IDU) is a 14-character identifier issued when a company is created, and in law it replaces the separate registration numbers. The DGI’s e-invoicing platform (FNE) still identifies taxpayers by the 8-character NCC, which is what this checker accepts.
Must the customer’s NCC appear on invoices?
Yes, when the customer is a business. On the FNE platform the customer’s NCC is the first field of a B2B invoice. A foreign customer’s tax identifier is not required.
Can a taxpayer have two NCCs?
No. Each taxpayer, whether an individual or a company, may hold only one NCC. Anyone holding more than one must tell their tax office, which merges them under one number.
Is the last letter a check character?
The DGI calls it a key letter (lettre clé) but does not publish how it is calculated, so a format check cannot catch a wrong letter. The register lookup can: an NCC with the wrong letter is not found.
